Product Update - April 2018

April 09, 2018 | Katie Cunningham |

Based on teacher requests, we added a few new features and enhancements in our April 2018 release (v1.2.5):

  • Added a new interface for secondary students. See the full blog post here.
  • Improved audio handling in the Vocab Lab game. While listening to a word story, students can pause the audio.Vocab Lab audio handling The story audio also stops automatically when students press "Next" to go to the lab screen. (This feature is currently enabled for English game versions. Spanish is coming soon!)
  • Prevented links out to YouTube videos. When a Speak Agent video ends, it no longer gives students the option to watch other YouTube videos.
  • Enabled educators to create an alias. This alias displays instead of the user's real name wherever a "contributor" or credits are listed. To create an alias, sign into Speak Agent and click the Account icon in the top-right menu. Then enter it in the Alias field on the Settings tab.
  • Improved performance so that tables like wordlists and lessons load faster.
  • Solved many minor bugs and display issues. You may or may not have noticed them, but we sure did!

If you have a brilliant idea or something that's bugging you about Speak Agent, we are listening! Just contact us.
