The new version 3.5.3 makes a number of minor enhancements that improve the teaching and learning experiences with Speak Agent. Here are the details:
Changes to Lessons
We streamlined the lesson search interface to make it easier to see the full subject names. We also added a new column on the lesson details page with time estimates for each activity. (Thank the High School Math team at Prince George’s County Public Schools for this great idea!)

Changes to Assigning a Lesson
When you assign a lesson to a class, you will now see the full class section name so that it’s easier to distinguish among your class sections. You can also easily see which class sections have already been assigned the lesson so that you don’t accidentally assign the same lesson twice:

to edit the assignment date and other details.
Changes to Class Pages
We switched the tab order for your classes to show Lesson Progress on the first tab, since that’s the tab teachers tell us they use most often. Also, we renamed the Students tab to Roster.
Accessibility Settings for Teachers
Teachers can now go to their account settings to configure several accessibility features such as narration speed and font.
Bug Fixes for Translation and Scrolling
- We fixed a bug where the translation feature was not working for some students.
- We improved scrolling for long pages within the Read Along activity.
- We fixed an issue with text-to-speech narration in the Tall Tales activity.
- Other minor bugs and issues that improve the experience.
Faster Loading
- Several of the pages will load noticeably faster for teachers, especially the pages with individual student records.
- Images will now load up to 60% faster for students!
