But visual representations are not only a strategy for learning content knowledge. They are also a critical language connection that helps to bridge the equity gap!
How do we need to rethink K-12 math and science education when students have access to Generative AI? What’s the impact on the goals and process of learning? We look at the current state of the art in November 2025 and a number of considerations and options for classroom teachers and district leaders to explore.
In this episode, we examine the gap between merely teaching vocabulary and embedding language into math and science — and why a content-based language instruction is so critical. In the second half, we deep-dive the Content + Language Framework as a practical solution for supporting learning in the math and science content areas.
