Platform Update - July 2025

Written by Katie Cunningham | July 31, 2025

The new version 3.7.0 improves reporting for district and school leaders. It also enhances lesson assignment features for classroom teachers. Here are the details:

Administrator Features

We made a number of improvements to the district and school leader Home and Reports views:

Export Your Data

Both school and district leaders can now export school data reports from the Reports menu. This downloads the data on your screen to a .CSV spreadsheet format. School-level data exports include teacher, class section, and aggregate time on task, # activities completed, and # of words learned for stages 1-3 of our learning model.

Filter by Course/Subject

You will find that filtering by subject is now faster and supports larger data sets than ever before. We've scaled this up to support implementations with many thousands of classrooms.

District-Wide View

District leaders will find a new report under the Reports menu that shows summary data for all across in the district. You can then click any school name to drill down into a school-specific report.

See Academy Usage

The district administrator Home page, aka "dashboard," now tracks the number of Academy self-serve PD lessons completed by your teachers in the current school year. These are 30-minute digital lessons intended for your teachers to catch up on missed PD sessions or to dig deeper into how to take advantage of Speak Agent's advanced features or instructional strategies.

Teacher Features

Sharing on Canvas Made Easier

We added a new feature to enable teachers to copy lesson links and easily share them with students or with colleagues. For example, if a teacher pasted the link into Canvas or Google Classroom, students clicking the link will be routed directly to the assigned lesson in Speak Agent with no intermediate steps or screens.

  • Just press this icon to get started sharing:

Managing Assignments Made Easier

We updated the lesson search results to show if a lesson has been assigned. You can now see how many classes you've assigned each lesson to—without having to click on the lesson—or you can click the number to shortcut right to the assignment details.

Accessibility

  • We addressed an issue with the Arial font choice loading incorrectly for some users.

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue with phantom portfolio items. Sometimes a blank portfolio item would display before there was enough progress captured.
  • We fixed a bug that caused some assignment start dates to not display on the classroom view.

What's Next?

Next, we are implementing redesigns of the Read Along, Scrambled Sentences, and Scrambled Words activities. We are also continuing to make ongoing accessibility improvements as part of our Accessibility Roadmap. We're excited to share these and other developments in the new school year!

As always, we'd love to hear from you if you'd like to share feedback on the new features or share your wishlist. So please don't hesitate to contact your support team!
