How can I help if I’m no good at math?
Your attitude about math will shape your child’s attitude about math. If you say “oh, math is so hard” or “I’m not good at math,” that can make your child feel the same way. But if you show you are excited about your child’s math work, that will help! Ask them what they are working on in math class today. “Can you show me?” Try one of the Do Together activities on this webpage with them. Remember: If you and your child make a mistake, that’s OK. What’s really important is that you do some math together and try your best. You don’t have to be a math genius to be a great parent!
